Charleston DAY3

About 9am and I am heading off to church. According to the weather, this is as sunny as it’s going to be today.
Mother Emmanuel. I made it with a little time to spare.

The two hour plus service went by in a flash. We all sang happy birthday to a 93 year old man. And then again to a 101 year old woman.The Black version of Happy Birthday of course. The 101 year old woman announced the she still cooked her meals, washed her dishes and got dressed every day. I will report that she was better dressed than I.

While I was in church, the sun came out. And girls were out working on their tans. Somethings haven’t changed on 65 years.
Heading back towards the hotel, I am feeling a little peckish. So, I stop off for a little She Crab Soup.
When lunch was over. I wentout and discovered the street was closed and vendors were selling everything. Beer, cocktails, cotton candy. . .

Okay I am tired now. Just follow these girls in summer dresses for another block and the hotel and ice tea awaits.
