  1. Please greet Mr. C for mom, Norma Fries, and I. I have been following your news about Carlton’s surgery and prognosis. He surely is added to our prayers here in good old Wisconsin where the air is turning colder by the day. We sure hope that Carlton can have his treatment quickly and you can enjoy some sunshine this winter. It is hard to leave fine medical facilities in DC when you need them. The Big Island does not have anything worthwhile when it comes to important things regarding health. Mom and Dad found that out years ago. Keep us informed. — We see Sharon Krause each July. She drives to Wisconsin and spends a week with Mom this year celebration Norma’s 92nd birthday. She is still doing quite well.

    1. Great to hear from you Jean! Oh yes, we know that medical care in Kona leaves much to be desired. Most of the providers don’t take medicare. And, if you need anything at all done – it’s off to Honolulu or Maui. So, I am not letting the man on a plane until I am pretty sure it will be a medical non-event.
