In the late winter of 1992 we crossed the USA. From the looks of my photos from that trip – I was starting to take better pictures. I came to photography late in life. An employee of mine told me that I would be a total failure as a retired person. He predicted that with in 6 months I’d be photo engraving US currency in my basement. At that time, I didn’t own a camera. Or a basement. But, he wasn’t far off the mark. (That would be you Dave)
I am appalled by the performance or lack thereof by the Congress.
Hmm – Not sure if I was the Dave but I still would not discount you passing a couple $1 bills just to prove you could beat the system. Then savouring the resultant Cinnabun. Gutless me I stopped at having the penny stamped into a copper bracelet. You do seem to have conquered boredom in retirement with good volunteer work and travel.
I’m having trouble blaming all of the Congress on this one. I normally am there on Congress working together and I try to see both sides. However the Republicans lost, the new insurance system is the law. Time to campaign for votes in a representative democracy. ( such as it is…) Not hold your breath, like a little kid turning us all purple to get your way.
Man I have to see the Grand Canyon before I croak. Everyone says the pictures can’t begin to capture it and the pictures look darned good.
