First, Days 2 and 3 of the Destuffing Project have been a total bust. I tossed a small handful of papers and got rid of a small plastic bag of hair thingies. Yesterday I looked at my collection of old external disc drives – mostly recycled computer hard drives. I just looked at them.
Photography-wise, I am suffering from GAS – Gear Acquisition Syndrome. I visited my current camera box and dug out an old fave – the FX01 (Purchased spring 2006).
Peggy,
You tend to be more Mac savy then I but just a reminder after you have pulled any desired files to use Disk Utilty to securely delete your files with a write pass of random data to all the drive space. Some folks insist on multipass but to be honest recent research papers tend to note recovery after a single pass is much harder in the time of dense small drives today vs. the old 5.25″ 10 MB clunkers of yesteryear.
