Carlton gave me some grief about sending 2 boxes home. But, I am so not a pack animal. I don’t mind stuffing my pack to the bursting point when there is no option – but when there is an option – take it.

The Celebrity Century didn’t start off the day real well yesterday. They dropped one their tenders/lifeboats and broke it. And, injured a crewman. Since the lifter upper thingie was busted they couldn’t get it back on the ship. The Century left yesterday afternoon – sans Life Boat #10. Apparently the cruise line just gave the boat to a local waterman with the understanding that he get it out of the way before they got fined by the harbor master.

I am back in full worry mode about Mr C again. I did manage to sort of not worry too much for two weeks. But, it is kind of hard to not worry. And, he did admit that “maybe” he should have gone to see one of the local docs.
Wow – even with the damage I’d imagine that’s a pretty capable launch if the hull and engine are intact – diesels are pretty tough but a drop that could break the roof must have been big. Worse case the lucky new ‘owner’ will make it a ‘reef’ somewhere. Could be a great charter boat if the damage is mainly that roof…
When you return to the ‘real world’ you will find our government rulers in their usual state – FUBAR. However the flowers will still bloom on schedule!
The tender was tied up for over 6 hours and it didn’t seem to be taking on water. And, it didn’t leak any body fluids. So, I am guessing that someone has a fine new fishing boat.
