Trying the camera out in ideal conditions. Now can I get another image in?

More testing.

Last one.

So, what did I learned from this? The iPod has a very lame camera. Post processing doesn’t help. It seems to hurt. Bright days help. Close up is a bad idea. I have a couple more days to experiment.

  1. Sadly that camera is better then nothing but it’s close.

I bought an 8gb new IPT, as my older 2005 ipod touch has been retired. It’s an always plugged in alarm clock music device due to battery issues. I would have bought bigger but the camera convinced me to treat this one as a $199 temp worker.

I’m hopefull we’ll get the iPhone camera but I have heard it’s an issue that the touch is slimmer and can’t support the camera with it’s greater depth used in the iphone.

It is slick though – even with a thin case it’s smaller then a wallet in the front pocket. Great device to carry when you are mobile and don’t care for the month to month expense of the iPhone.

    1. The battery on my 2005 ipod touch was also failing. Of all my technology toys – the iPod Touch is my all time favorite. I guess if I had an iPhone, it would be my favorite. But, I sort of like my phone separate. I would hate to run out of battery on my phone because I shot too many cartoon birds at cartoon pigs. Not to mention the monthly charges.

I really was going to wait and see what Apple released come fall iPod-wise. Then I thought – what if Apple comes out with a cheaper small iPad? Will Apple ditch the Touch? So, I got a new one. Because running out of battery on a 24 hour train trip is a non-starter.
