Test results: Well, I can at least type stuff anytime I have WiFi. I wonder, if I had a new iPod – could I put a picture up too? I do love my iPod Touch. Mine is Generation 2.
Research results: Seems like I could post an image, if I had a newer iPod Touch-one with a camera. Wonder what other goodies are in a newer Touch? Looks pretty much like what I have – just with a camera. Let us wait and see what next week brings in AppleLand. Haven’t heard any rumors about a new iPod until later this year.
It might be worth a wait. I bought a newer iPod touch (4th Gen 8GB) to be able to control the Leaf electric car pre heating and pre cooling while plugged in from remote while getting ready for work etc. Different from my older one it has front and back cameras so Face Time works and the display is a little better. However the main rearfacing camera is not hi res like the new iPhone. This would be a logical upgrade for the next version of the touch and I would hold out for it as the touch resolution is not too impressive just ok. Especially given your love of photography.
