Some boys were amusing themselves doing a little movie. They had a rather nice camera.
Speaking of rather nice. I indulged myself with a new straw hat. A “pāpale by sam”, pāpale lauhala to be precise. It was not as expensive as the O’Farrell cowboy hat I wanted in Santa Fe last summer. But, it is fine hat. And, Sam is a friend. Now… How do I get it home? And, back here. It costs too much to leave here. And, it would be really silly to keep a fine lauhala hat in the closet back on the mainland.
And yes, Carlton has an very good idea how much it cost. He knows Sam too.
