1057. Rather many low-flying helicopters. I am not fond of helicopters.
I did not remain in the Old Bat Cave waiting to see if this was the beginning of the 2nd American Civil War.
Headed out to in-person yoga.
Where I am the oldest person.
Everyone is old. I am oldest.
Feel that I have to show up in person now and again to prove I am still alive.
Old age is harsh.
At the bus stop. An impeccably dressed elderly gent. Wearing slightly too large but well-tailored fall togs. His tote bag is from Brooks Bros. His phone is an original flip phone. And his shoes don’t match. He gets on the bus; it is obvious that he has some medical issue with his foot. He cannot wear tassel loafers on his right foot. But he could not possibly go out in public in the city with boat shoes on both feet. Standards must be upheld.
And then there are flowers. And the gift of time to enjoy them.
Had time to spare between buses. So I popped into a tiny Arlington park where I spent many hours learning to photograph bugs and flowers.
