Two weeks from today, I should be wandering around Portland, Maine.
Then heading up for 3 days in Canada.
I hope they will let us in.
It’s bad enough to have been born in West Virginia.
But to be a citizen of the US just compounds the indignity.

I try to do at least one “new” or “different” thing every week.
It can be a large thing: Take a float plane to Victoria.
It can be a small thing: Take a new bus and see where it goes.
It can be very hard: Be nice to an annoying individual.
You get the idea.
This week was winding down with nothing new or different.
I didn’t want to be nice to anyone.
So. What to do?
It’s Sunday.
Go to church.
A real church service.
Not a Celebration of Life.
Church here at The Asylum is Very Episcopal.
We fly the Episcopal flag out front.
We have our very own Episcopal priest.
Our own personal consecrated Episcopal Chapel.
Verdict: Transubstantiation is still creepy to this agnostic old bat.
The homily was thought-provoking.
Don’t plan on making a habit of this.
