Iceland, Day 1, exhausted. But here.

Totally surprised by the hotel view.

I made it to the hotel by noon. I am astonished by the great view.  Also pleased by the weather, It was between 50 and 60 all day. Lots of sun. No wind, couldn’t ask for a finer day. 

Walked from the bus depot to th hotel. Google said it would take about 22 minutes. Well, it took longer, I kept stopping to look at stuff.

Stopping to observe nature.
Stopping to take in a little art.

After a very short recharge period, it was out for a walk.

There are plenty of amusing signs in Reykjavik.
At the passenger terminal area, there is a large exhibit describing every boat wreck in the history of Iceland. FYI there have been a lot of ship wrecks.

Had a very early dinner,

Tomato soup and grilled cheese.
No, I didn’t order a shake.

And I fell asleep while assembling today’s blogpost. It’s  9:22 PM now. Coffee and cookie maybe and hopefully back to sleep until 6 or so.
