Day 3 Clarkston

Lewis and Clark almost slept here.

Clarkston is a modest little town with much to be modest about. Even Lewis and Clark camped on the other side of the river. Twice.

Clarkston has a big river, the snake river.
There are huge barges, like on the Mississippi.
From my hotel room, I can see the tugboats, and I have a great view of a driving range.
There are also scuffy dive bars, not at all unexpected.
It’s always better to be lucky than smart. The Seabird.

By dawn’s early light, this morning, I got the best shot. I am likely to get of my boat.

Clarkston is a nice little town. Apparently the busy summer season starts tomorrow with the art show, the dog show, and the return of river boat passengers like me.
