OK – Winter

Winter’s Day in Kona

“Cold” and rainy in the village today. Long pants, long sleeves, socks, oatmeal, soup, hot chocolate. That kind of a day. Also predicting blizzard conditions on my island. Plus high surf and flooding. Nothing unusually. Except some of the islands have been really chilly. But we really need the rain here in Kona. I am totally enjoying tropical winter.

Plan B – The Times calls my thought process: making high-stakes health-risk assessments in the face of incomplete information.  My incomplete info indicates that omicron is real, is circulating, is highly transmittable, infects the fully vaccinated with ease, but at least among the vaccinated it doesn’t seem to be terribly a serious illness. Rather like a nasty cold. All that could change in a heartbeat. But for today, Plan B is just a plan and not an action.
