Denver does train station right! And note to self, Glenwood Springs looks like a town to overnight from the train. As well as Denver.
I am still enjoying the trip. Great scenery today. Not as much snow as I hoped to see. But the critter count:
- Lots of cattle
- Plenty of horses
- 5 fly fishermen
- 24 or so deer in 2 bunches
- 1 dead deer – It was newly dead but completely “recycled”
- 10+ bald eagles. One caught a fish.
No pictures – well except of the cattle. I am not a wildlife photographer. Especially with the 35mm lens from a moving train.
I am over 1/2 way home. Would I do it again? The current answer is you bet. Of course – tomorrow we head out through the flat square states. Then change trains in Chicago.
We had two long stops and two short stops today.
We are pulling out of Denver – Cell Signal may leave anytime – so, I’ll closeout for now.
Those pictures are gorgeous !!!! Denver is a GREAT town !!! Enjoy the rest of trip . So jealous I always wanted to take that trip !
