The VaVa II is still hanging around. It’s helicopter went for a little fly about. Carlton said they took an entire commercial dumpster of trash off this afternoon. Might make for some first class dumpster diving.

Today is my birthday. I never planned on being 70. But here I am.

The rich are different, very different. The VaVa II anchored in our bay yesterday. 97 meters of ocean going goodness. It was launched in 2012 and this is her first visit to Hawaiian waters.

The sun peaked out today and the rain stayed away… And, the dolphins came out to play.

This guy is actually teaching a hula group. We have water aerobics and water walking. Also, water hula.

Don’t get me wrong, I am not complaining, but it rained all day yesterday and most of today. And, the ocean is choppy and unpleasant. That does not keep Mr. C out of the sea, but I stayed out.

Most likely I have put this sign up before. I love the idea of a gluten free boarding pass.

Yes, in 17 days we will be back in exciting downtown Arlington. I am going to enjoy every last instant of sun, sea and warm.

The local pig food collection center. That should keep us country.

Three weeks from now we will be on our way home.

About the Olympics, why don’t we win all the hardware in the biathlon? Shooting and skiing? What is so hard about that in our 2nd amendment loving mountain states? Get with it Colorado.

Happy with the results of my fitness and diet program. So happy, that I know I can not stop. If I expect to keep the goodness, I’ll have to eat less and exercise more for as long as I am able.

Went up to the old airport to watch whales today. This big guy kept sticking his head out of the water.

And this one took great pleasure waving bye bye.

And one from yesterday for Doug. You can get really close to the dolphins. I can swim out to them, but it worries Carlton, so I don’t. The dolphins don’t mind well mannered swimmers. And, they seem to really enjoy dogs. So, folks who have good ocean going dogs swim out with their dogs.

Great day today weather wise. Dolphins liked it. As did the surfers.

Carlton seems to be getting a cold. We can survive that.

Reading “The Hobbit” and playing chess with the iPad. Maybe, I am having a second childhood?

I have walked 153 miles since January 20. It has taken a toll on my knees, so I am going to cut the walking back. Will increase my swimming. I don’t seem to be going gracefully into my 70s.

Mr C continues to enjoy apparent good health. I am enjoying this good period too.

Our local big butterfly, the Kamehameha butterfly, is coming up missing. We are supposed to take pictures if we find one. But, this is a regular monarch butterfly. Maybe, maybe I’ll find a special one.

Carlton got us an additional week at the hotel. We’ll be heading home around March 19 or so.
