We bombed Hiroshima 69 years ago today. No moral judgement. Just history.

Decided that it is time to change all of my passwords. A ***MASSIVE*** undertaking. I have used Keypass and KeypassX for years. Anyone care to recommend something “better” – before I start. Keypass isn’t totally user friendly. But, it is free and cross platform. Before that I used RoboForm. I don’t think I’ll move away from Keypass. But, I am open to suggestions.

Today was the first day of Mr C’s radiation. It took 3 technicians, 2 physicists, and 1 doctor to get Carlton and the machine lined up. Oh, and one concerned wife wondering if they knew what the F they were all doing. We’ll see.

The “bad guys” in Afghanistan managed to shoot one of our generals and killed him. A few generals and admirals have died as a result of hostile actions before. Darn few, I might add. You might have to go all the way back to the American Civil War before you find one that died as a result of an enemy gunshot. Time to declare victory and leave, boys and girls.

Enjoy Every Sandwich: Turkey and Swiss. With tomatoes. Lots of tomatoes. We are in the peak of tomato season.

Playing around with the Olympus. And, the speedy shutter speed. While I was making my FitBit happy, I took the camera around to the local water features…

And then I went looking for flying critters.

Didn’t get any good flying shots. But, another butterfly to add to this year’s butterfly collection.

Mr C starts radiation again tomorrow morning. I am not so sure about the advisability of this round.

Just say no to the FitBit – today. I’ll get back with the program tomorrow. I have to. Because I got two fine new pair of jeans. Jeans that fit like a gloves. No room for expansion. The new jeans and they were new, came from the Goodwill. Our Goodwill gets shopworn, but new merchandise from The Gap, Ann Taylor and Banana Republic on a regular basis.

I would say that I was a couch potato this afternoon. But, we don’t have a couch. I lounged on the shaded balcony.

Carlton who is “fine”, decided to register his car for another two years.

Enjoy Every Sandwich: I have an abundance of bread products. And an underwhelming amount of stuff to put with the bread. So, we’ll have fried egg sandwiches for dinner. With tomatoes.

Knew it was going to be an interesting day when I walked into the office and found that our system wouldn’t load. Like every good hack, I immediately started with “well, it was fine when I left yesterday”, “I didn’t make any changes that would cause it to not load”, “the trouble is at the distant end”… fired off some emails, made a phone call… drank coffee, ate leftover cake… AND, someone somewhererestarted a server or two and everything was good.

It was drippy at walk time today – so no new photos. My new camera is “weatherproof”, but my old lenses aren’t.

Mr C seems to have survived his encounter with the parking lot gate. He is “fine”.

I headed out with my cheap-ass old macro lens – planning on sneaking up on a bee or butterfly… but people are more interesting. Nevermind that I was using my macro lens.

Carlton did an extra shift volunteering at hospital this afternoon. When he was walking back from the bus stop, he managed to get hit by a parking lot gate. Fortunately it whacked his shoulder and missed his head. No, he can not sue anyone – since technically – he was trespassing by taking a short cut thru the parking lot.

Enjoy Every Sandwich: I had cheese and tomato for lunch and will be serving turkey and cheese for dinner.

We have had a run of sweet weather. I can take this kind of climate change! But, I am sure the muggies will be back soon.

I plan to have made a deposit on “suitable” old lady lodging by Labor Day. No rush. The lease on this place lasts until April 2016.

What’s with that grave yard. It is about a mile from our apartment. So, it makes a nice 2 mile round trip walk for me. And, Mr C likes it because he can talk story with the grave diggers.

Still windy. But 10 delightful degrees below normal. And in July below normal is a good thing.

Mr C had his pre-radiation CT-scan today. According to Carlton, Dr Bobby was less positive than he was one week ago. Well, I had a nice Merkel Creature free week. The less than positive vibes from Dr Bobby was not a surprise. To me at least. Carlton is in a lovely “fine” state of mind.

Why don’t white folks ride buses? Seriously. I was out on walkabout this afternoon and decided I had made FitBit happy and I was tired, so I hopped on a homeward bound bus. Including me and the driver there were 18 people on the bus. There were black people, brown people and beige people on the bus. But only one white people – me. Attention white people: Your Metro Pass works on the bus and the bus is always cheaper. And sometimes faster.

Too windy for flying creatures today. So, I went out in search of what the Brits call “car mascots”. I only found two and they were actually “truck mascots”.

Today, I was trying to get flying things using my old Leica 14/150 lens. Bumble bees aren’t too hard.

No success with flying dragonflies. Had to settle for this little resting Eastern Amberwing.

Lazy day today. My FitBit keeps trying to get me to go out and walk another 2,000 steps. Not happening. I did do yoga. But, the FitBit doesn’t give much credit for yoga.
