Lovely fall day today. Going down to Charlottesville to meet Steve's parents. I'll be on my very best behavior. Hopefully my best will be good enough. Everything would be most wonderful, if yesterday's paper hadn't included an article about what to do if "birds start falling out of the sky". I guess you really should just kiss your ass good-bye. But, they had all sorts of things that you should be doing during your last gasping moments on this planet. Things like duct-taping your air vents and windows shut. I wish I were immune to all this hysteria. Or is it hysteria? Anyhow, I have stocked the pantry with a suitable supply of canned goods. And have a few gallons of water stashed. But, no gas masks. No duct tape. I am thinking that Hawaii might come early this year... This place is making me crazy as my good buddy Rose would say. |
