Likelike Battleground - 31dec05

I have pictures of lots bigger waves. But this is the best picture of mother nature's fireworks. Or maybe waterworks.

We had a nice little fireworks show last night- I just stepped outside our room and watched in my nightie. Carlton did indeed stay in bed with a pillow on his head.

HAPPY NEW YEAR - It occurs to me that Happy New Year is the best one of our many canned holiday greetings. Merry Christmas - may you get lots of presents. Happy Thanksgiving - may you overeat. Happy Mothers Day - may your kids remember to call. Happy Birthday - Gee you really are OLD. But HAPPY NEW YEAR - that conveys whatever good you care to imagine for 365 days. So, Happy New Year.

The Menu: Lunch - Marinated some chicken in soy sauce, tangerine juice, pineapple scraps and cinnamon for about 18 hours. Nuked carrots for 4 minutes in a little of the marinade. Put the chicken and pineapple on top the carrots and nuked for 8 minutes. Rearranged the chicken once. Let it set for about 10 minutes. Served with rice and avocado slices. Dinner will be cheese, tomato and avocado sandwiches. I defrosted the little fridge today.
