Tiny ‘a’ama crab

This is the smallest ‘a’ama crab that I have seen. It is standing in my foot print and is smaller than my thumbnail. It could easily have been a modest size spider.

Here is a bigger one. Usually, the ones I see are about as big as my fist.

This is a simple model. I just learned it this year. For the last 40 some years, Origami USA decorates an Xmas tree at the Museum of Natural History in NYC. This year it was decorated with sea creatures. I made some of these for the tree.
